Set menu 2 courses for £12.50 available lunch times and weekday evenings throughout December.

Special Xmas Sunday Lunch - crackers, Quaility Street, Brass Bands, turkey and xmas pudding amongst other things - Sunday 16th 12pm until 3pm and Sunday 23rd 12pm until 3pm. Bookings now being taken.

Friday 21st Party Pie night - big turkey and ham or meat and potoato pie's - from £10 per head - get a group together and come and tuck in.

Saturday 22 Dec Saturday night special - our candle-lit dinner evening with lots of gourmet treats on the menu.

Our Film Festival was invited to Devon this year. The kind folks at Dartington College's Craft Revolution held their first Spoon Camp - a campsite in the woods specially set up to celebrate the craft of spoon carving. We met some wonderful people including Barn the Spoon, spoon carver extrodinaire, and we showed our favourite films to an appreciative audience under the stars and amongst the trees, a fantastic night was had by all. Come along and have a pie while listening to Thurlstone Brass Band on our lawn... it all starts at 1pm. Brass on the Grass!


The Waggon & Horses pop up will be at the Holmfirth Film festival 16 - 22 MAY. We'll be serving lunches, snacks and a few surprises as well as cask ale and Yorkshire gin and tonics!

Start Christmas with one of our big party pies. Come Saturday 13th or 20th lunch or dinner and tuck into a Turkey & Ham pie or a Meat & Potato pie - they are £10 per person including crackers and mince pies too!

Big pies can be ordered to take away too! They can be ordered and collected right up to Christmas Eve lunchtime and then from the 27th to New Years Eve lunchtime.

The finer details of the menu will be decided closer to the day but will of course include our super soups, perfect pate's, Roasted Turkey, with all the traditional trimmings, our seasonal game pie and of course Maureen’s mince pies - all hand made with our short crust pastry
